sound:check Xpo 2017 Coming To Mexico City

15th anniversary show at the World Trade Center Mexico City offers demos and displays of all things related to show production.

sound:check Xpo 2017 will take place at the World Trade Center Mexico City on April 23rd, 24th and 25th with demos and displays of audio, lighting, video and everything related to show production.

2017 marks the 15th anniversary of Sound:check Xpo. This year’s show offers more than twelve thousand square meters of exhibition space with over 260 brands of audio, lighting, projection and more.

In addition to the exhibition floor, the demo rooms will put end-users in direct contact with the brands and technology, providing the opportunity to strengthen business relationships, establish
contact with potential customers, expand distribution channels, generate sales and create strategic alliances.

The Annual Audio Engineering Society Mexico Conference (AES), will also feature educational events with John Meyer (co-founder of Meyer Sound), Ken Scott (producer, The Beatles Elton John, Pink Floyd, Duran Duran), David Bottrill (producer, Peter Gabriel, Tool), Eduardo Vaisman (video game designer), Vance Powell (producer, mix engineer of Jack White, The Raconteurs), Alex Case (president of AES International and associate professor in Audio Recording Technology, University of Massachusetts Lowell), Andrés Mayo (Andres Mayo Audio Post), and Sylvia Massy (producer and engineer, System of a Down, Johnny Cash, Prince).

Drummer Kenny Aronoff, with a discography of more than 200 albums by artists such as The Rolling Stones, John Fogerty, and Santana will lead the master class called: Sex, Drums, Rock ‘n’ Roll.

Lee Ritenour, and Pedro Aznar will also lead master classes on their experiences in the music industry.
