Sound Projects Adds Self-Powered SPX-65 Loudspeaker To SPX Series

Compact self-powered loudspeaker can be used stand-along or with other series models

Sound Projects has introduced the self powered SPX-65 to augment the SPX Series of identical yet acoustically complementary loudspeaker systems.

Each SPX-65 packs a musically matched 12-inch mid/bass driver and two 1-inch HF drivers, which are loaded on a double Wave-shape-transformer, terminated by a constant directivity horn with 65 degrees horizontal and a wide 15 degrees vertical dispersion.

The SPX-65 excels in smooth acoustic coupling, vocal transparency and SPL in small to medium sized configurations. Together with an accompanying sub low system, like an SP18 sub cabinet, the frequency response can be extended an octave downwards.

It can also be used with other SPX models to create small- or medium-sized line of curved array columns.

Maximum efficiency is obtained through optimal interaction and full integration of the employed drivers, horns, proprietary MA-1000 amplifiers and signal processing technology.
