The ProSoundWeb Signal to Noise podcast celebrates an important milestone this week as it surpassed 150,000 downloads. The show, hosted by PSW-LSI technical editor Michael Lawrence and pro audio veterans Kyle Chirnside and Chris Leonard — and sponsored by Audix and Allen & Heath — focuses on engaging conversations with professionals from all corners of the audio industry.

STN reached 100,000 downloads after 70 episodes and has now reached the new mark just 22 episodes later. In the coming weeks, the show will celebrate its 100th episode with a special edition featuring several guests, a music performance and special prize giveaways.

Over the course of the just the past 20 or so episodes the hosts have welcomed a wide range of knowledgeable and talented guests, including:

— Mix engineers Karrie Keyes, Ryan John, Matt “Sound” Lawrence, Jake Hartsfield, Brad Madix, Dennie Miller, Ken Newman and Ashton Parsons

— Freelance system tech Freyja Lawson

— Godsmack FOH and HelloooTV Founder Erik Rogers

— Touring theatrical audio professional Elyssa Kohen

— Guitarist, songwriter & producer Cory Wong

— Above Standard Audio/Visual Services owner Dwayne Roberts and Phantom Center founder Dani Munoz

— Bill Reeves of Roadies of Color United

— John Huntington On Show Networks & Control Systems

And more…

“I continue to be surprised and humbled by the incredible community that has grown up around the show” says co-host Michael Lawrence. “Practically every day we are hearing from listeners, sending us interesting information, recommending good places to eat on the road, and connecting people through our mentorship program.”

Along the way, the success of the Signal to Noise podcast inspired the creation of the ProSoundWeb Podcast Network, which now also features the Church Sound Podcast, hosted by Samantha Potter, and the Live Sound Bootcamp Podcast hosted by Ryan John, Brendan Dreaper and Joe Santarpia. The hosts would also like to thank Keith Clark, Kevin McPherson, and the entire ProSoundWeb team for their support in creating such a fun project, and singer-songwriter Mike Green (mikegreen.bandcamp.com), whose song “Break Free” continues to play an integral role in the show.
