The Sennheiser MKH 8000 Series of microphones combine the company’s exclusive RF condenser technology with a compact, modular form factor and a range of applicationspecific accessories. The microphones are available in three models, including the omnidirectional MKH 8020, cardioid MKH 8040, and the super-cardioid MKH 8050. Each model consists of two modules, the microphone head and a separate XLR module. The frequency response of the MKH 8000 Series ranges from 10 Hz to 60 kHz (MKH 8020), and 30 Hz to 50 kHz (MKH 8040 and MKH 8050). The maximum SPL is high, at 138 dB for the MKH 8020 and 142 dB for the MKH 8040 and MKH 8050.
