Components for integration into line array systems, portable PA loudspeakers and monitor loudspeakers

Selenium debuted its latest midbass and woofer W16P Series in the United States at InfoComm 2011 in Orlando.

The new additions include the 6W16P 6-inch midbass as well as 8W16P 8-inch and 10W16P 10-inch woofers.

Available in 8 and 16 ohms, the W16P series is constructed with an aluminum frame and aluminum-wire voice coil, a non-pressed long fiber cellulose cone, cloth surround and push-on terminals.

The components are ideal for integration into line array systems, portable PA loudspeakers and monitor loudspeakers.

The 6W16P, 8W16P and 10W16P, respectively, boast a resonance of 125 Hz, 95 Hz and 66 Hz, frequency response of 90-4,000 Hz, 80-5,000 Hz and 70-4,000 Hz at -10 dB and a net weight of approximately six, eight and eleven pounds.

“The W16P series presents a great opportunity for Selenium to penetrate the U.S. market under our new parent company HARMAN,” states Manfred Treter, pro product manager, Selenium. “The W16P line offers the reliability expected from Harman, backed by the design ingenuity of Selenium. As Harman taps South American engineering resources, we are excited to offer our new and existing customers the best and highest quality components available.”
