Renkus-Heinz has announced that it is renaming its new PCX Series passive column loudspeakers as the UBX Series to address a trademark issue that emerged after the product was initially named and launched.
The company states that it was recently alerted to the trademark issue and because of its strong support of trademark and copyright law and its legacy of integrity in the audio industry, decided to change the name of its PCX Series to the UBX Series. The naming is intended to highlight the series’ Passive UniBeam Technology.
Utilizing the same steering algorithms from the Renkus-Heinz flagship ICONYX columns, the UBX Series is designed to provide quality sound and consistent coverage with minimal distortion and side lobe artifacts. Implementing the company’s steered array technology into a compact passive column is intended to provide a new way for contractors and consultants to meet a project’s unique needs.
