Ready, Set, Show! has announced the new Mic Trainer, an accessory to help performers remain at an appropriate distance from microphones — a.k.a., “stop eating the mic” — by providing a physical touchpoint other than the grille.

The design allows users to adjust the distance from the mic, giving them added control over their sound while also limiting their exposure to germs on the surface. In addition, moving performer lips off the grille can allow for better articulation, lip movement and coloration of vocals. And, Mic Trainer’s anti-roll feature prevents microphones from rolling off hard surfaces.

AAs a musician, I found myself always eating the mic though I knew I wasn’t supposed to,” explains company founder Chad Hadersbeck. “I invented the Mic Trainer for myself so I’m excited by the reception it has received. A lot of hard work goes into figuring out how to be an inventor or to start a company, especially during a pandemic, and we couldn’t be more proud officially launch Mic Trainer.”

The Mic Trainer is exclusively available at www.mictrainer.com.
