QSC Collaborates With Attero Tech For Dante And AES67 Endpoints

Q-SYS Platform plugins for unHX2D HDMI audio-to-Dante de-embedder/embedder, the unD6IO-BT and the new unAX2IO+ wall plates to be showcased at InfoComm 2017.

QSC and Attero Tech announce the availability of Q-SYS plugins for specific Dante and AES67-enabled devices from Attero Tech.

Developed and supported by Attero Tech, the plugins provide audio and control integration with QSC’s Q-SYS Platform. Plugins will be available for a range of Attero Tech devices including the unHX2D HDMI audio-to-Dante de-embedder/embedder, the unD6IO-BT and the new unAX2IO+ wall plates, which will be showcased at InfoComm 2017 in Orlando, Florida.

By using these new Q-SYS plugins, integrators and end users will have the ability to remotely control and monitor the Attero Tech devices from within the Q-SYS system allowing for tight integration with remote source and output devices. Audio streams from Attero Tech’s Dante-enabled devices can be received using the Q-SYS Dante I/O edge network card, while audio streams from any Attero Tech AES67-enabled devices will enter Q-SYS natively without the need for a dedicated network interface card.

From Q-SYS, users can quickly set up audio routing and other Attero Tech functionality such as gain control, phantom power, etc. using the new plugins. In addition, users can easily expose those parameters for real-time control over the audio I/O devices on QSC’s own touch screen controllers and other user control interface software applications, eliminating the need for additional modules and hours of costly programming.

“This collaboration with Attero Tech illustrates the power and flexibility of the Q-SYS Platform,” says Martin Barbour, product manager for Installed Systems at QSC. “We developed Q-SYS on an open IT-friendly ecosystem, which makes it very accessible for manufacturers like Attero Tech to develop their own plug-ins. As AES67-enabled devices continue to proliferate, easier integration with unique and cost-effective solutions like Attero Tech’s is an ideal opportunity for our manufacturing partners to improve the user experience for our joint customers.”

“The Q-SYS Platform is one of the most feature-rich, highly cost-competitive integrated audio, video and control solutions available today,” says Josh Arnold, AV product manager at Attero Tech. “Combining connectivity of our unique endpoints with the power of Q-SYS, integrators can take advantage of an IT-based platform to deliver quality audio, video and control for any application. Together QSC and Attero Tech are able to offer complete, purpose-built software integration leveraging both AES67 & Dante for audio interoperability.”

At InfoComm, QSC (booth 5645) and Attero Tech (booth 6484) will demonstrate audio and control integration with the Q-SYS Platform via AES67-compliant devices such as the Attero Tech unAX210+ wall plate. As an input and output agnostic solution, QSC will also showcase native digital support through Attero Tech’s unHX2D Dante HDMI de-embedder/embedder solution.

Attendees can also get a first-hand look at the how easily the Attero Tech plugins integrate into Q-SYS Designer.
