Pioneer Professional Audio has announced to new members of the XY Series of loudspeakers — the XY-1 and XY-2E — developed to allow more versatile uses of the flagship XY-3B.
The XY-1 and XY-2E represent the low-frequency (LF) and mid/high frequency (MHF) sections, respectively, and both units are available in black. They are designed to allow installers, rental houses and touring companies to build ground stacked point-source arrays and deploy systems in venues with low ceilings in a variety of configurations.
The XY-1 utilizes two 12-inch custom drivers in a hybrid dual-chamber configuration, the same as the XY-3B. The XY-2E utilizes the XY-3B’s propriety X-phase technology, with the addition of individual control of the 8-inch cone driver and 1-inch compression driver.
The new XY Series additions can also be used as stage fills, live PA and DJ booth monitoring due to custom accessories intended to make them easier to deploy in tight spaces.
Both new loudspeakers are available now. Go here for more information about the XY-1 and here for more about the XY-2E.
To coincide with the release of the XY-1 and XY-2E, Pioneer Professional has also launched a refined website that’s designed to be more intuitive to navigate. The new site is available with a choice of English or Japanese text initially, with more languages to follow soon.
