The METAlliance (Music Engineering and Technical Alliance) has announced that it’s presenting the next “In Session” event on January 28 and 29, 2023 in Nashville at the Blackbird Academy, providing attendees the opportunity to participate and interact with the METAlliance members in live recording and mixing sessions.

By special arrangement, The METAlliance will occupy four historic studios for the entire weekend. As in previous sold-out events in Hollywood and New York City, participants get a close-up look at basic tracking and microphone techniques. In the separate sessions, attendees are closely engaged in the process in great detail and participate in critical listening and evaluation.

The METAlliance offers a unique opportunity to experience living history while learning essential techniques from the leaders of the METAlliance. Every attendee will attend four 4-hour tracking/recording and mixing sessions, each designed to provide different insights into the recording process and directed personally by the META members. Space is very limited. Go here to learn more about the event.

Amenities include catered lunches and various handouts. Pictures with the members will be taken. Extremely limited attendance to the entire weekend of all four sessions means an intimate, personalized setting. Cost is $1,500 and tickets can be purchased here. Qualified students can apply for a discounted price.

“We love working closely with a diverse group of students, pros, educators and recording beginners,” concludes METAlliance co-founder Chuck Ainlay. The METAlliance is composed of top audio engineers/producers Niko Bolas, Frank Filipetti, George Massenburg, Elliot Scheiner and Ainlay.
