Harman Professional has announced the promotion of Thomas Marcher to director of sales, Asia regional sales office.
Marcher, a four-year Harman Pro veteran with extensive pro AV experience with other brands in the region, will now assume responsibility for sales, support and channel coordination reporting to Scott Robbins, senior director, global sales, Harman Pro.
“Thomas Marcher is in the ideal position to support our distributors, serve our customers and help drive sales in the Asia regional sales territory,” Robbins states. “I am very pleased to make this promotion from within—not simply because it is wholly deserved but because it opens a new chapter of development and growth for our distribution partners and employees in the territory.”
Thomas Marcher joined Crown Audio as sales director, Asia in 2008 and later, with the integration of Harman’s global sales operations, he was instrumental in the establishment and coordination of the regional sales office in Kuala Lumpur that he now heads.
Prior to joining Harman, Marcher held Asia regional positions with TC Electronic and Klotz Digital. A native of Denmark, he began his career with TC Electronic in Denmark in 1996. Marcher replaces David McKinney, who has been appointed to senior director, India Operations, Harman Pro
