Glensound To Exhibit New AoIP Interface Products At InfoComm 2024

AoIP22M small-format portable unit similar to the company's AoIP22 with two analog inputs and outputs to interface to a Dante/AES67 network will make its debut at the show.
Glensound will present numerous AoIP options at InfoComm 2024.

Glensound, which will be exhibiting for the first time at InfoComm at the upcoming show, announced that it will be highlighting new AoIP (Audio over IP) interface products at its booth (C5120) at the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Making its debut at the show will be the new AoIP22M is a small-format portable unit similar to the company’s AoIP22 with two analog inputs and outputs to interface to a Dante/AES67 network. The main difference with the AoIP22M is that the inputs are switchable from line to microphone. The DC power input is using USB C to allow connection to generic plug-top power supplies or USB power banks. Main features include mic/line switchable inputs on XLR or Phoenix connectors, independent 48-volt phantom power, variable input gain controls and network connections via a single EtherCON Halo connector. Power options are PoE (Power over Ethernet) in addition to USB C.

The second debut is the DARK DAWN 1616M, the first of a new generation of DARK Dante/AES67 interfaces. This update incorporates several features that have been requested by users. The DARK DAWN range of interfaces are multichannel analog and AES input/output devices intended to be installed in a studio setting where cosmetic appearance is important. The inputs are mic/line/48-volt switchable and power redundancy is featured with GPO fault reporting. Channel gain can be adjusted from the front panel or remotely via GlenController or UDP control on a separate network connection. Network connections can be either Dante or RAVENNA/AES67.

Another highlight is the DARK8MAIP, now with the added “P” for Phoenix connectors, as an alternative to XLRs. The original version of the DARK8MAI is an eight-input microphone amplifier that is portable and can be controlled from the GlenController Windows remote application. In many situations, multiple units may be employed, and Dante/AES67 network connectivity is available to simplify installation.

Also on hand will be the Vittoria 64 network isolation bridge. Initially released as a 32-channel system with Dante, the Vittoria now is also available in the RAVENNA version. There has been a strong demand for a 64-channel upgrade right from the start.

Glensound managing director Marc Wilson says, “The growth of our A/V business has been impressive and InfoComm is a natural opportunity to show our range of products and discuss our willingness to adapt products based on market feedback. This is particularly important as the popularity of AoIP continues to rapidly increase.”
