Fits & Starts Productions Heads West With HOW-TO Church Sound Workshop Training Tour

West coast educational tour begins September 17

Fits & Starts Productions has announced dates for one of its major HOW-TO Church Sound Workshop tour segments — the West Coast-Southwest tour.

This tour is a major component of its annual 36-city audio education training tour geared for houses of worship and universities.

The 8-hour, hands-on workshops feature equipment from a number of the audio industry’s top manufacturers, and well-known audio engineer Mike Sokol as the lead instructor.

Now in its 9th year of touring the HOW-TO Workshops train 1,500-2,000 worship techs and volunteers each year, while raising the visibility of tour sponsors over the 45,000-mile annual tour.

Fits & Starts Productions managing partner Hector La Torre says, “Our annual West Coast-Southwest HOW-TO tour segment is a huge challenge that we are always happy to take on as it present us with the opportunity to train house of worship sound teams in a number of states, from Washington through California, Arizona and Texas. And we are always met with great enthusiasm from the church teams.

“Plus, we really get to show off the great equipment our sponsors provide for our front of house and monitoring systems. Church teams love the fact they really learn from our hands-on approach.”

Go to the HOW-TO website for the complete tour schedule, registration and present sponsor information.
