Eventide has announced the second generation of its H3000 plugins, delivering a 1:1 recreation in digital form of the company’s H3000 Harmonizer that was originally launched in 1988.

The H3000 Mk II plugins offer new modeling of the analog-to-digital and digital-to-analog converter sections of the original H3000 as well as filter recreations designed to accurately replicate the resonance and self-oscillation behavior of the hardware. Graphics have been updated and the user interface is resizable.

“The H3000 Mk II plugins are the culmination of years of research into what makes the original H3000 Ultra-Harmonizer so impactful,” says David Baylies, project lead/software engineer, Eventide. “Finally, we feel we’ve captured the magic of the hardware with dialed-in effects, accurate presets, and a full model of the H3000’s analog converters. With H3000 Factory Mk II and H3000 Band Delays Mk II, you get an endless suite of FX to get lost in, just like with the original box. You’ll find modulators, delays, nuanced pitch shifters, and more, all flavored by the classic sound of the original circuitry. Just as the H3000 was one-of-a-kind, you won’t get this experience from any other plugin.”

The H3000 Factory Mk II contains more than 600 effects presets tailored for both music and sound design applications. Eighteen effect blocks, including delays, amplitude modulators, envelope followers, pitch shifters, filters and more, can be intelligently combined with a streamlined patching workflow. The plugin also has assignable macro soft keys along with full MIDI control to enhance workflow and customization possibilities. Users can access direct inputs for both sidechain and noise for extended routing options.

The H3000 Band Delays Mk II provides eight bands of filtered delays and contains over 100 presets including sweeping comb filters, auto-panning delays and more, all derived from the original H3000 Harmonizer. Users can access a range of delays, filtering, stereo-widening, and dynamic rhythmic effects directly from the DAW, suitable for any mixing or sound design application.

Concise visual feedback of all delays, including band shapes — enable users to make more informed mix decisions, and the assignable macro soft keys provide added workflow efficiency by creating shortcuts for routine tasks. The plugin also provides access to direct inputs for both sidechain, noise, and full MIDI control.

The H3000 Factory Mk II multi-FX plugin is priced at $199 and the H3000 Band Delays Mk II plugin is priced at $149. Both are available as of May 1 on the Eventide Audio website and dealers worldwide. Free 30-day demos are available here.
