Electro-Voice X-Line Advance At Ongoing Ottawa Bluesfest

Wall Sound deploys main system for Claridge Homes Stage with X2-212 full-range arrays and two dozen X12-128 subwoofers driven by TG7 amplifiers

The new X-Line Advance line array from Electro-Voice is on active duty at the Ottawa Bluesfest (RBC Royal Bank Bluesfest), which began July 7 and continues through July 17.

Held at LeBreton Flats Park adjacent to the Canadian War Museum, Bluesfest has grown to become a landmark event of the Ottawa summer and one of the top 10 music festivals in the world, according to Billboard magazine. It attracted more than 300,000 music fans in 2015, with even more expected this year.

Specifically, leading production provider Wall Sound, based in Ottawa, is deploying the X-Line Advance system at the Claridge Homes Stage. The system incorporates 15 X2-212/120 and three X2-212/90 mains (per side) over a total of 24 X12-128 subwoofers. Audio power is being delivered by 24 EV TG7 amplifiers.

Bluesfest consistently presents one of the most diverse line-ups of any outdoor music festival in Canada. This year’s roster of performers on the Claridge Homes Stage includes Ben Harper & The Innocent Criminals, Chris Page, Grand River Ramblers, and the legendary Bryan Ferry, among many others.
