Clear-Com has announced the appointment of Anthony Wilkins to a new role as business development manager for Industrial and Critical Communications in the EMEA region, working with the company’s current partners and developing new channels for expansion, such as marine/offshore, medical, public safety, transportation, and more.

Wilkins brings more than 40 years of experience in professional audio systems to the new role, covering the gamut of field service engineering and test and measurement to sales, technical marketing, product management, and business development. He also has expertise in distribution and partner management for companies including Sony, DTS, Linear Acoustic and Junger Audio, and directly prior to joining Clear-Com, was responsible for managing EMEA distribution for Focusrite, where he oversaw the amalgamation of the ADAM Audio, Sequential, and Oberheim brands into Focusrite Group EMEA.

“Anthony’s wealth of experience in both the technical engineering and the sales and business development areas of the communications industry made him the perfect candidate for this key growth role based here in the EMEA region,” says Chris Willis, senior vice president of Worldwide Sales. “He will be invaluable to Clear-Com as we cultivate business in the Industrial and Critical Communications space in EMEA and we are excited to see those markets in this region grow with his leadership.”

“I’m delighted to have the opportunity to join such a renowned and well-respected company,” Wilkins adds. “To me, the name Clear-Com is practically synonymous with the word ‘intercom’. One of the main attractions was the great variety of applications that I will be working to develop outside of Clear-Com’s core focus on the live and broadcast markets. With markets as diverse as marine and offshore, motorsports operations, medical, transportation and theme parks, I’m really looking forward to addressing the unique challenges that each of them brings.”
