Audio-Technica U.S. has announced the formation of a new logistical operations company, Technica Logistics, that’s intended to enhance the company’s customer service capabilities in the Americas, and it’s also opened a U.S. West Coast facility consisting of a new 38,000-square-foot distribution and fulfillment center in San Diego, CA.

“This new company is formed to supply enhanced service to our customers and consumers,” states Manabu Aoki, Audio-Technica director and CEO/president of A-T U.S. “This change will take advantage of Audio-Technica’s past experience and success in warehouse and distribution operations, as well as its unprecedented dedication to customer support and service.”

Technica Logistics begins operation on April 1, 2024, with Michael Fuller, who has been with Audio-Technica for more than 15 years, serving as managing director. The company plans to have approximately 40 employees throughout the U.S. and will have its headquarters at the Audio-Technica campus in Stow, OH.

The company currently operates distribution facilities near Charleston, SC and in Stow. With the addition of the new facility in California, Technica Logistics will be able to ship product and reach 90 percent of the continental U.S. population within two days and nearly 100 percent within three days. Technica Logistics will be responsible for inbound receipt of product, inventory management, outbound delivery by truck and parcel shipments, and operations management for Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) activities.
