Audient ASP2802 Incorperates Dual Layer Technology

The ASP2802 combines classic analog features with extensive DAW integration and control.

FDW Corp has announced that Audient’s eight channel ASP2802 console was launched at MusikMesse 2010 in Frankfurt, combining classic analog features with extensive DAW integration and control.

Including Audient’s Dual Layer Technology, the ASP2802 fully integrates with the computer system, enabling the user to switch effortlessly between the analog layer – the traditional mixer path travelling through the console – and the DAW layer within the computer session.

“The latest extension of Audient hybrid technology, the ASP2802, is the wave of the future. It features digital control with a great sounding analog summing mixer.”

“The ASP2802 also features motor-fader automation with easy control of multiple tracks simultaneously instead of the tedium of ‘mousing’ it. This is the way the people want to work now”, stated Chris Walsh, Director of Sales for FDW Corp.

Behaving unlike an ordinary eight channel desk, the compact design of the ASP2802 includes a full master section based on the design of the now classic ASP8024, and shares the same mic preamp topology and bus compressor design, not often available on other such compact consoles.

“The modern production room now has another very real alternative to the large format console,” says Luke Baldry, Sales & Marketing Director at Audient.

“Anyone with budget and/or space constraints will find the ASP2802 fits the bill. It’s perfect for those users who want to combine an analog console and fully featured controller all in one space, at the center of their studio,” he adds.
