Yard House Restaurant Rocks With Community Loudspeakers

No Static Pro Audio of Burbank, California designed and installed the audio and video systems for the newest Yard House which opened in Kansas City in April of 2015, featuring loudspeakers from Community Professional.

Eugene Gordon, No Static’s ceo says, “The restaurant’s brand image has a focus on classic rock so the owners want really high-quality foreground music that can get loud without sounding harsh. This is our 59th Yard House installation,” he continued, “and we’ve standardized on Community loudspeakers to meet that challenge.”

For Yard House locations with outdoor patio dining, No Static installs Community W SERIES for both the indoor and outdoor seating. In Kansas City, which has a smaller, seasonal outdoor area, they used thirty Community V SERIES V2-8 loudspeakers around the perimeter of the indoor restaurant spaces and above the video screens at the bar. W SERIES loudspeakers will be installed for the outdoor seating when that area is completed.

An HDMI-over-IP network distributes eight Direct TV channels and a DVD player to multiple large-screen video displays at the Kansas City Yard House. The audio system can carry any of these feeds. Gordon says the owners are pleased with the voice intelligibility provided by the loudspeakers for these sources and for a wireless microphone used for private events.

The audio system includes an Ashly DSP and QSC amplifiers. The foreground music source is a Mac Mini computer with its play list sync’d to Yard House headquarters via Dropbox. Audio and video are both controlled by an AMX touch-panel system that includes an iPAD walk-around controller.

Gordon says Yard House has done a great job of branding their restaurants and their high-energy classic rock music with Community loudspeakers is an important part of their image.
