Yamaha Hosts Hundreds At First Audioversity At Soundcheck In Nashville

Participants provided with training seminars, panel discussions, product demonstrations, and more

Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems held its first official Audioversity at Soundcheck in Nashville earlier this week (August 11-12), drawing several hundred participants.

“Nashville was our first official Audioversity,” said Larry Italia, VP/General Manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, “and the YCAS staff worked very hard in its planning and execution making it the success it was.”

The event was catered towards audio professionals and those interested in gaining in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Yamaha Commercial Audio and NEXO products.

Audioversity featured digital mixer training seminars, panel discussions with leading industry professionals, NEXO and Yamaha loudspeaker listening demos featuring Nashville Star winner Erika Jo.

There were also hands-on line array rigging demonstrations, acoustic prediction software presentations, clinics featuring audio networking, portable sound applications from small to large, and systems solutions, frequent Q & A sessions with Yamaha and NEXO experts, and a daily drawing for a Yamaha LS9.

“We especially want to thank the staff at Soundcheck for their hospitality in accommodating our event which at last count, saw 475 very enthusiastic end user customers who braved the heat and humidity so they could get a full two days of Yamaha and NEXO information and training, said Italia. “We would also like to acknowledge our third-party manufacturers who participated in the trade show area as well as demonstrating how their products work in conjunction with Yamaha Commercial Audio products.

“It was also gratifying to see the enthusiasm with which some of our competitors quickly embraced Audioversity and the type of marketing opportunities that present themselves for the industry when this type of event is produced effectively.”
