Yamaha Co-Sponsoring Worship Arts Technology Summits In February

February seminars will train church technicians and musicians in fields of audio, musicianship, lighting, recording and media presentation

Now in its third year, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. and Yamaha Corporation of America, along with Elation Lighting, Shure and Media Shout will sponsor two Worship Arts Technology Summits (WATS) in February.

The first will be held in conjunction with Sandy Cove Ministries in North East, MD, February 2-4. The second will be held at the Lifeway Ridgecrest Conference Center, Ridgecrest, NC, February 15-17.

The seminars will offer product and technical training to church technicians and musicians seeking the finest in-depth technology training available in the areas of audio, musicianship, lighting, recording, and media presentation. Summit sponsor experts along with leading worship musicians will be on hand for the in-depth three-day tracks that include Audio, Musician, Lighting, Media, and Vocal.

All skill levels are welcome as the training will be presented in structured technology tracks, allowing attendees to begin with the basics and build upon them with a series of increasingly advanced class offerings. These sessions will offer hands-on participation, focused teaching and certification.

“What makes the WATS Summit unique is that most technical training conferences are one or two days long – sufficient for fundamental theory, but less so in applying the theory to real-world situations,” states Dan Craik, House of Worship Marketing Manager, Yamaha Commercial Audio Systems, Inc. “Applications and principles will be demonstrated in real time, with real musicians and participants will have their hands on real gear.”
