Wharfedale Pro has expanded its DP Series of class D digital power amplifiers with the announcement of two new four-channel models. DP-4100D and DP-4150D.

The DP-4100D is stated to deliver up to 1,500 watts per channel at 8 ohms, while the stated spec for the DP-4150D is 1,000 watts per channel at 8 ohms.
Power ratings are measured at THD=1 percent, each channel working simultaneously with a continuous 1 kHz sine wave. Both models are stated to operate down to 2 ohms and in bridge mode, and they have the same user interface, channel count and DSP engine.

The internal DSP that’s accessible through either the front panel or the supplied control software. The DSP control interface provides the ability for granular editing of EQ, limiting, delay, phase and filtering to the signal path, removing the need for additional external signal processing.

Input connectivity of the units — both measuring 1RU — is handled either by four discrete analog XLR connectors on the rear panel or by RS485 connectors on the front that accept AES3 digital inputs.

Customers are encouraged to contact their local Wharfedale Pro distribitor for price and availability information.
