Waves Audio has announced the introduction of Waves V14, the latest version of its plugins that are designed to enable faster load times while offering new trim and mix knobs from the company’s most popular compressors along with providing quicker new preset workflows.
The new trim and mix knobs are from the API 2500, the CLA-2A, CLA-3A and CLA-76 Compressor/Limiters, the Renaissance Compressor and the SSL-G Master Buss Compressor. These new features are designed to allow users to more quickly balance volume and create parallel compressions directly from the plugins.
V14 also offers faster loading times for plugins, presets and sessions in DAW and enhanced drag-and-drop preset workflows, and it also offers sharp HiDPI graphics for select Waves plugins that include Abbey Road TG Mastering Chain, API Collection, the CLA-76, CLA-2A, CLA-3A Compressor/Limiters, the F6 Floating-Band Dynamic EQ, OVox Vocal ReSynthesis and PuigTec EQs. In addition, there’s a new stand-alone application to the CR8 Creative Sampler designed to allow users to shape, manipulate and play samples without a DAW.
Updating plugins to V14 helps future-proof sessions and ensure that the plugins will remain compatible with the latest operating system and DAW versions. To update, the plugins need to be covered by the Waves Update Plan, the care and support plan for the company’s products. It comes free for one year with every new Waves plugin or bundle purchase and is renewable at any time afterwards.
Owners of products covered by the plan also get:
— Second licenses for any covered products, for the duration of their coverage; second licenses can be used on a different computer, without having to move licenses back and forth between devices.
— Premium tech support, including phone, email and personal remote assistance via TeamViewer.
