Waves Announces New Live Division; TDM Plug-Ins For Digidesign Venue Consoles

At Winter NAMM ‘09, Waves Audio announced the formation of the Waves Live Division, a dedicated branch addressing the current and future needs of the live sound market sector.

As part of the Division’s inaugural initiatives, Waves will unveil a new Live Division website (www.waveslive.com), as well as the release of Waves TDM plug-in bundles such as the SSL 4000 Collection, the API Collection, the C4 Multiband Compressor as well as the acclaimed L-Series limiters – all of which can run on Digidesign Venue consoles using the Waves D-Show Enabler.

Current Waves TDM users can purchase the D-Show Enabler for $35, making their Waves products fully Venue-compatible.

MaxxBCL was the first Waves product to successfully help deliver enhanced bass out of live PA systems.

Further, since its release in November 2006, Waves Live Bundle has become one of the most valued processor packages to accompany Digidesign’s Venue consoles, utlized by live engineers such as “Big Mick” Hughes (Metallica, Led Zeppelin), Ken “Pooch” Van Druten (Linkin Park, System of a Down), Phil Strong (Kanye West), Cirque du Soleil’s Jonathan Deans and Leon Rothenberg.

“Waves has worked side-by-side with Digidesign for more than 15 years, creating the tools that have been at the forefront of the digital sound revolution,” commented Gilad Keren, CEO of Waves Ltd. “Now that this revolution is coming to live sound, it’s going to transform the creative capabilities of front of house and monitoring engineers.”
