Void Acoustics To Showcase Latest Node And Bias Models At InfoComm

New Node 2i and 4i powered stage monitors and three new Bias amplifier models to be presented in Las Vegas next month.

InfoComm will again see Void Acoustics return to preview some of its soon-to-be-released products at the Las Vegas Convention Center from the June 6-8. These include the Node 2i and 4i powered monitors and three new Bias amplifier models.

Weighing just 22kg, the Node 2i’s 12-inch and 1.4-inch co-axial driver is combined with a 1200 watt RMS amplifier module, with integrated DSP and four configurable presets, enabling a peak SPL of 133 dB and a frequency response of 60-18khz -3db. The Node 4i, with a larger 15-inch and 1.4-inch co-axial driver, weighs 25kg and has a frequency response of 50-18khz -3db.

Each of the Node series has multiple working surfaces, allowing them to be used as a near field booth monitor or conventional stage wedge, as well as having the ability to be pole mounted or wall mounted for front of house purposes. In terms of mobility, measures have been taken to reduce weight while maintaining an ergonomic design to appease manual handling requirements. Using FEA analysis during the design process, the port has been optimized, with noise and air distortion minimized.

These innovative creations further strengthen the brand’s current product line up. In addition to this first USA reveal of the wedges and amps, Void Acoustics will also showcase some of their brand favorites in touring and installation offerings, including its Air Motion.

Void will also be presenting three new Bias amplifiers models: Bias Q5, Bias Q2 and Bias D1.

Refinement of the Bias range sees the introduction of the Bias Q5 (4 x 5000 Watt), leading the new range and capable of being driven from a wide variety of supply sources, including single, dual or three-phase supply, with an input voltage requirement of 85 VAC up to 440 VAC. Specially designed with versatility and ease of use in mind, the Bias Q5 is equally suitable for most bass enclosures, as well as high-power, full-range systems in any configuration.

The lighter Bias Q2 (4 x 1200 Watt) and Bias D1 (2 x 800 Watt), are Dante enabled amplifiers designed to work with lo-Z (from 2 ohms) and 70V/100V distributed lines; any mixed configuration of low and high impedance output loads can be realized, making them suitable for all applications in installed sound reinforcement systems.

These amplifiers further strengthen Void’s current product line up. All three are eco-friendly with energy-saving efficiency, resulting in low operational costs, power consumption, heat dissipation and carbon footprint.

Co-founders Alex Skan (managing director) and Rog Mogale (creative director) look forward to these amplifiers making their debut appearance in the USA. For Skan, “the new bias models represent a notable progression in the range. Coupled with our newly developed pre-set library, the Q5, Q2 and D1 offer a very comprehensive DSP/amplifier solution.

“The Node series completes Void’s new stage solutions. Building on the runaway success of the Arcline System, the Node range offers numerous monitor and front of house configurations. We have taken into account all the demanding requirements for this product and developed something very special.”

Mogale confirms that “every detail in the behind-the-scenes creative process has resulted in a series of new product offerings to confidently complement the ever-expanding Void portfolio.”
