Voice-Acoustic has announced the expansion of its VADAS amplifier platform, first introduced in early 2024, with the new VADAS-8K4D, a four-channel class D model stated to deliver up to 2,000 watts per channel at 4 ohms and equipped with four physical analog and four digital AES3 XLR input and output channels as well as Dante as standard.
The integrated 4.3-inch capacitive touch display with encoder wheel is designed to provide easy access and an overview of all important functions and parameters. The new VADAS-8K4D can also be integrated into the ArmoníaPlus remote control software from Powersoft. A patented wide-range switching power supply with Power Factor Correction (PFC) is designed to provide higher efficiency and lower power consumption.
An update of the VADAS preset library with linear-phase FIR filters for the integrated high-end DSP with high dynamic range and extensive functions will be available in Q4, 2024. The new presets also allow an overlap mode between bass and mid/high frequencies.
All subwoofers can now also be combined with each other. The update also includes cardioid subwoofer presets (Gradient and Endfire) for all five Voice-Acoustic Paveosub models. The VADAS amplifier series is completed with the new CP4IN and CP4OUT connection panels with optional Ethernet switch and the BAGAX stack rack for standardizing touring racks.
