It should go without saying that one of the coolest things about DAW based recording is the ability to use plugins.

However, for engineers just starting out one concept that can be difficult to understand is the need to occasionally use offline processing.

Now, many people will know this as printing effects and there are DAW’s which have the ability to “apply audio effects”.

However, today I have a video for you which demonstrates the use of offline processing in ProTools with AudioSuite plug-ins.
