Universal Audio (UA) has announced the introduction of Windows support for UAD Spark, UA’s native plug‑in subscription, and as a result, select UAD plug‑ins now run natively on Windows 10 and 11 PCs as well as Macs.
The UAD Spark plug-in subscription is an expanding collection of UAD plug-ins and instruments, including titles from Neve, Moog, API, Lexicon, Studer, UA, and more. UAD Spark plug-ins run natively — no UA hardware required — in all major DAWs that support VST3, AAX, and AU formats.
“We launched the UAD Spark plug-in subscription earlier this year, bringing the authentic and inspiring sounds of classic studio and music gear to creators, with or without UA hardware,” says Bill Putnam Jr., UA founder and CEO. “Today, we’re thrilled to be able to extend that vision and bring professional UA sound to our Windows community as well.”
The UAD Spark subscription is available for $19.99/month ($149.99/year) with a 14-day free trial. Volt USB audio interface owners receive an extended 30-day free trial, and owners of perpetual UAD plug-in licenses receive corresponding native UAD Spark plug‑ins for free.
