Universal Audio has announced the introduction of UAD Software v9.15 that includes new plugins from AMS Neve and Manley Labs.
Introduced in 1978, the AMS DMX 15-80 S was the world’s first microprocessor controlled, 15-bit digital delay and pitch shifter, and was used on classic albums by Joy Division, Nirvana, Brian Eno, Prince, and many more.
Exclusively for Apollo and UAD hardware, the new AMS DMX Digital Delay & Pitch Shifter plugin brings the sound of this vintage digital studio rack unit to the UAD library, with added features such as Tempo Sync, Dual VCO mode, Dry/Wet Mix, and more. Cost is $299.
Manley tube mic preamps are known for adding richness and character that’s now embodied in the new Manley Tube Preamp plugin for Apollo and UAD hardware users.
Incorporating proprietary Unison technology, it allows users to harness the impedance characteristics and gain staging “sweet spots” of the boutique Class-A circuit for added punch and tone while tracking or to quickly add the sound of the preamp across multiple channels during mixdown. Cost is $149.
