The Ultimate Ears UE Cares program, dedicated to championing organizations in the live music community, announced that it is donating a portion of the proceeds of each pair of its flagship UE LIVE in-ear monitors sold in the month of October to support the efforts of The Roadie Clinic.

Founded by live event production veterans Courtney and Paul Klimson, The Roadie Clinic is a non-profit agency based in Niles, MI that offers much-needed support services for little to no charge to touring professionals and their families. Areas of support include therapy, education, advocacy, financial guidance, recovery resources, marriage counseling, family resources, suicide prevention tools, women-in-touring services, and temporary housing when available.

Specifically, the UE Cares donation will support the ongoing construction of the Lofts, housed in a rehabbed three-story commercial building in a historical district of downtown Niles, which will serve as the organization’s headquarters in addition to hosting roadies in need of support. In addition, UE Cares is also donating in-ear monitors each quarter to roadies at the clinic who need them so they can protect their hearing and continue to enjoy healthy careers.

The Loft will be a place for roadies and their families to get the care they need when they’re in a transitional period. It will be equipped with a commercial kitchen and a common/gathering area called Table 13, named for the number of people who can fit on a tour bus, including the driver. There will also be four individual bedrooms with private bathrooms, each large enough to accommodate a family, as well as an apartment for longer stays, a professional mixing studio with lighting capabilities, on-site therapy suites and more.

“While there are different organizations that exist to help roadies with many of those issues, there isn’t a singular resource that roadies can call for whatever they need. And that’s one way The Roadie Clinic bridges a gap,” states UE Cares.
