Two New 5-Inch Cone Driver Models Join Eminence Pro Series

Both offer truncated frame for close center-to-center spacing in microsized applications

Eminence has introduced two new 5-Inch cone drivers housed in compact, trucated frames to further enhance the flexibility of the Pro Series, and they’ll be on display at the upcoming 2015 NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center at booth 4334.

The new Pro 5W is designed for demanding midbass, midrange, line array and column array applications, equipped with a proprietary X5 pulp cone and high temperature copper wire voice coil.

With a broad usable frequency range of 120 Hz to 7.5 kHz, and a music program power rating of 150 watts, it’s a versatile driver that’s at home in small sealed or vented boxes. The truncated frame allows for close center-to-center spacing in microsized
applications, such as stair step boxes used in many churches.

The new Pro 5MRN neodymium midrange/tweeter driver weighs in at only 2 pounds, making it a great choice for mids and highs in professional audio cabinets. It can be used up to 20 kHz if needed due to a super-light epoxy treated dust cap and pure aluminum wire voice.

Music power handling is stated as up to 130 watts, with sensitivity of 93 dB. A water-resistant paper cone enhances durability, and it too has a truncated frame.
