Two “Ask The Experts” Webinars Presented By SoundGirls Coming Up This Month

Sessions include a focus on career development on Saturday, May 8, followed by a discussion on hearing health and related issues on Sunday, May 16.

SoundGirls has announced two webinars to be presented later this month, including “Ask The Experts — Career Development” on Saturday, May 8, followed by “Ask The Experts — Hearing Health” on Sunday, May 16. Both events being at 11 am U.S. Pacific time (2 pm Eastern).

“Career Development” will focus on resumes, networking, interviewing, “imposter syndrome” and more as many working in professional production are finding that they need to re-establish their networks and re-interview for gigs and tours. Panelists include pro audio veterans Meegan Holmes, Jim Yakabuski, Whitney Olpin, Samantha Potter, Dawn Birr and Tina Morris your questions. Go here to register and post questions for this webinar.

“Hearing Health” will look at tinnitus, hearing aids and cochlear implants as well as sudden, noise-induced, and hidden hearing loss, and more. In addition, a musician and sound engineer will share their experiences with hearing loss and the effect it’s had on their careers. Panelists include audiologist Julie Glick, musician Scott Simmons and sound engineer Swaan Barat, moderated by lighting designer Kille Knobel.
