American Music & Sound debuted new Turbosound TCX Compact Series loudspeakers at 2010 Infocomm, including four high-performance passive two-way loudspeakers and a choice of two band-pass subwoofers.
Designed to be discreet in permanent installs, Compact Series cabinets feature concealed pole mount sockets and rear handles for an unobtrusive appearance, while being equally suited to portable use.
The series has the 8-inch two-way TCX-8, 10-inch two-way TCX-10, 12-inch two-way TCX-12, and 15-inch two-way TCX-15 passive loudspeakers, plus TCX-15B and TCX-18B subwoofers, all with Speakon NL4 and barrier strip connectors.
Internal M10 rigging points are provided for use with Turbosound wall and ceiling brackets, and also for OmniMount loudspeaker mounting hardware.
The Compact Series is supported by the latest GLL data file format for use with the EASE acoustic simulation program.
The rotatable Converging Elliptical Waveguide also features in the range, with the smooth and even dispersion characteristics that are ideal for smaller clubs, cafés and restaurants.
Turbosound also launched the TCS-1061 three-way trapezoidal loudspeaker that combines Turbosound’s propriety Dendritic HF horn and a midrange Polyhorn in a single waveguide to generate a phase-coherent wavefront and produce excellent arrayability.
The TCS-1061 provides the performance of the well proven Flex Array in a more cost-effective installation-driven, compact package, and features an elegantly designed and intuitive flying system. It is available in two variants offering either 75-degree and 100-degree horizontal dispersion: the TCS-1061/75 and TCS-1061/100.
