Toby Keith On Tour With The Midas PRO X (Video)

The Midas PRO X digital mixing console is supporting Toby Keith’s Good Times & Pickup Lines North American tour.

Keith’s longtime front of house engineer, Dirk Durham has made the switch to digital, having used the Midas XL4 for many years.

When asked about the PRO X, Durham had this to say: “It wasn’t hard to learn, is responsive, and sounds great! It’s got not only width – but also plenty of depth, which is just what I was looking for. Other digital consoles just didn’t seem to have the depth, or any tone at all… just neutral. The Midas [PRO X] actually sounds like my XL4… and it’s fun to mix on.”

The PRO X control centre and NEUTRON Audio System Engine is another step in the evolution of the Midas PRO Series.

True and consistent 96 kHz sampling and 40 bit floating point processing, combine with the control surface’s fully interpolated touch sensitive controls for a smooth continuous response – and the immediacy of an analog console.

The PRO X features 168 simultaneous input channels and 99 time-aligned and phase-coherent buses.

“We are indeed very excited that the Midas PRO X is the top choice of both Dirk Durham and Toby Keith for this amazing tour,” stated Graham Rowlands, Music Group VP of sales professional division. “We look forward to providing the highest level of support on the tour and congratulate Mr. Keith on the new album, 35 MPH Town.”
