TOA Unveils Type C Line Array Loudspeaker System

The new TOA Type C line array loudspeaker system is based on the company’s phase wavefront control technology for audio clarity and uniform sound dispersion, which focuses audio on the intended area more accurately.

Offering a choice of 15- and 5-degree vertical dispersion angle modules, Type C also includes a 15-inch subwoofer enclosure for low-end reinforcement.

Different modules can be combined together for their intended application where a combination of short- and long-throw coverage is required, while all three boxes are also available as IPX4-rated splash-proof enclosures.

Both mid-high modules use TOA’s proprietary Sync-Drive waveguide design, and can be run in a choice of single or bi-amplified modes, depending on the application requirement. High-fidelity sound is produced without causing attenuation of high frequency sound.

A wide variety of optional purpose-designed mounting brackets is available for installation flexibility, while LF and HF drivers can be quickly replaced from the rear of the enclosure if necessary.

For applications that require greater output and low-frequency sound enhancement, a two-way multi-amplifier driven loudspeaker system featuring a 30 cm low-frequency driver and two compression drivers is available.

Brett Downing, Sales & Marketing Director of TOA Europe comments, “The Type C offers unparalleled sound clarity with minimal interference, ideal for listening areas, adjustable sound coverage including the ability to connect a number of loudspeakers and combining with a different dispersion angle.

“They also produce clear sound that is resistant to feedback. They are ideal for a vast range of environments that require voice and music reproduction, such as performing arts venues, lecture theaters, airports, sports halls and many more installations.”
