TELEFUNKEN Elektroakustik announced that it will be showcasing and demonstrating a selection of its microphones later this month at the 2023 NAMM Show at the Anaheim Convention Center (booth #16205), with owner/founder Toni Fishman also unveiling a re-creation of the Fairchild 670 vacuum tube compressor.
The company will be highlighting the ELA M 251E, a reissue of a popular large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone with an edge-terminated dual backplate CK-12 capsule and 1-inch dual-sided gold-sputtered membrane. It comes with a locking flight case, power supply, tube mic cable and wooden mic box.
Also on hand will be the TF11 FET stereo set, a frequency and gain matched pair of the 2022 TEC Award-winner, with each system including matched TF11s, shock mounts, stand mounts and a carrying case. Meanwhile, the small-diaphragm ELA M 260 master stereo set has a circuit design based on a NOS (New Old Stock) Philips 5840W vacuum tube and a custom output transformer.
Further, the M60 FET master set is a reinterpretation of the classic phantom-powered pencil mic, designed with quality transient response and SPL handling capabilities. The set includes interchangeable TK60 cardioid, TK61 omnidirectional and TK62 hypercardioid capsules with shock mount, windscreen and zipper carrying case.
Finally, the company is showing the DC7 seven microphone dynamic & small diaphragm condenser drum package that icludes stand and drum mounts, cables and hard-shell case along with the TF47 Alchemy Series large-diaphragm tube condenser mic with a deep low end and a forward midrange that has switchable cardioid, omnidirectional, and figure-8 polar patterns via a remote power supply, tube mic cable, elastic shock mount and zipper case.
