SynAudCon To Host “Sound System Design” Training In Salt Lake City

In-depth 3-day training event approved for 24 RU’s and attendance includes a one-year SynAudCon membership.

SynAudCon will host a 3-day training event titled “Sound System Design” (November 15-17, 2017) in Salt Lake City, UT. Sound System Design is approved for 24 RU’s and attendance includes a one-year SynAudCon membership.

The three-day event starts with instruction focused on collecting and interpreting a Room Impulse Response (RIR). Days two and three give practical and technical understanding on how a loudspeaker interacts with the room to produce the direct-to-reverberation ratio at a listener seat.

Additional topics include specifications like loudspeaker sensitivity, directivity, power handling, and amplifier power ratings. This training event takes a holistic approach to understanding complete sound system design.

“We will present a logical, intuitive, comprehensive approach to sound system design,” states Pat Brown, owner of SynAudCon and lead instructor; adding “Highly intelligible sound systems are achieved by a purposeful process guided by theoretical understanding.”

Course participants will receive a reference-quality manual with course-based graphics as well as “Audio Click-Rule” which is a Windows-based calculator program that demonstrates the interaction of system variables. All attendees will receive a course “Certificate of Completion.”
