Lead instructor Pat Brown will demonstrate a range of crucial audio measurements as well as explain what they mean and how to use them

SynAudCon will be offering its Sound System Tech training course on September 11-12 (2017) in Columbus, OH. (Go here for more information and to register.)

Lead instructor Pat Brown will demonstrate how to measure voltage, impedance, polarity, SPL, and STIPA using audio and acoustic instrumentation, and further, will explain what these measurements mean and how to use them to ensure that a system is performing optimally.

Also in this updated course, Brown will address how to set up, interface, and troubleshoot the signal chain. Topics include gain structure, grounding and shielding, basic system tuning, and more.

Course materials include:

— Course Manual – It’s not a manual of PowerPoint slides, but rather a reference-quality publication that’s filled with useful graphics.

— Audio Click-Rule – A Windows calculator program that demonstrates the interaction of the variables in these systems.

— Certificate of Completion

The seminar is approved for 16 InfoComm Renewal Units (RUs), and cost to attend is $750.
