Stewart Independent Productions Adds RCF TT+ Series Line Arrays & Subwoofers

Stewart Independent Production (Saugatuk, MI) has added RCF TTL33-A line arrays and RCF TTS18-A subwoofers to its live sound inventory.

“We had need for a small footprint, medium-format line array having tremendous adjustability with regard to hangs and ground-stacks alike,” says company owner Shannon Stewart. “Several upcoming projects required a line array effective in large and small numbers, flown and in deck-stack arrays and in both cases as house PA and side fills for various rooms.

“In addition,” he continues, “the shows required an extremely high-fidelity system, capable of more studio-like voicing and ultimately able to reproduce very big and truly detailed vocals. It was critical mixing we were after in addition to horn-loaded pattern control and clarity.”

Specifically, Stewart Independent now has eight TTL33-A 3-way line array modules, each with dual 8-inch LF, single 8-inch MF, and three 1-inch HF compression drivers. The new full-range boxes are joined by a dozen RCF TTS18-A 18-inch subwoofers. The company also has RCF HDL20-A line arrays in its inventory.

“Regardless of what we listened to or mixed on, we came back to the RCF TTL33-A in all of our discussions regarding the aforementioned projects and beyond,” he says. “These boxes have been talked about around the shop since we demoed the originals a few years back. With all of the great press, user reviews and awards since and the improved MK II version with RD Net, we were sold. It’s also a beautiful box, very well built with great rigging. This line array has one of the smoothest and most detailed sounding horn-packs I have ever heard.”

“I’m now actually inventing reasons to schedule myself to go out and mix on this particular rig,” Stewart concludes.
