SSL Appoints Paul O’Farrell-Stevens Marketing Manager

Newest Team Member will oversee the Company's Music Industry Products

Solid State Logic is pleased to announce that Paul O’Farrell-Stevens has been appointed as Marketing Manager for SSL Music Products.

With an extensive career in sound engineering and pro audio marketing/brand management, O’Farrell-Stevens’ appointment is part of SSL’s ongoing growth.

“We are thrilled to have Paul on board as Marketing Manager for our music products,” says Dan Duffell, Head of Marketing for SSL. “With such an exceptional background in recording and marketing for the music and pro audio industries, Paul is the perfect addition to our team.

“I look forward to working with Paul to continue to grow SSL’s legacy and vision of providing exemplary, innovative technology that sets industry standards and helps people make music sound great.”

Prior to joining SSL, O’Farrell-Stevens provided public relations, marketing and brand-management support for several global pro audio brands, including Monster Cable Inc., Ixos Audio Products Ltd. and QED Audio Products Ltd.

He has also provided freelance marketing and design consultancy for a number of consumer electronics manufacturers and distributors, such as Castle Acoustics Ltd., Multi Enterprises Ltd. and Recoton A/V Distribution Ltd.

Before embarking on a career in communications, O’Farrell-Stevens was a recording engineer at several SSL-equipped recording studios. He garnered his first experiences with the SSL brand at London’s CBS Recording Studios, where he worked his way up the ranks – from tea boy to recording engineer.

During his tenure at CBS, he had the opportunity to work with countless world-renowned artists including Michael Jackson, Liza Minnelli and George Michael, as well as alongside legendary producer/engineer, George Martin.

After CBS, O’Farrell-Stevens then went on to become the chief recording engineer at Comforts Place Recording Studios, a residential facility equipped with an SSL G-Series console. It was here that he had the chance to work with other greats, such as The Cure, Genesis and Paul Weller.

He followed up his time at Comforts with a freelance engineering career at famous studios such as Abbey Road, The Hit Factory, Real World, Olympic and Hook End Manor that eventually led O’Farrell-Stevens to his brand management position at QED Audio Products. In his years since then, O’Farrell-Stevens has garnered an adept creative vision and extensive experience of managing and directing global communications content.

“I am very excited to be able to combine my years of behind-the-scenes SSL experience with my marketing and brand management skills,” says O’Farrell-Stevens. “The years I have spent working as a recording engineer will provide me with the unique ability to recognize the needs of SSL’s music customers. I plan to combine those skills with my pro audio communications experience to further develop SSL’s leading position in the industry.”
