SoundGirls Announces New Podcast Episode, Upcoming Live Webinars & More

SoundGirls has announced upcoming webinars that will address a range of professional audio and career-related topics, and the most recent edition of its podcast featuring noted Beth O’Leary, a noted freelance live sound engineer and tech based in Sheffield, England. (Check out the podcast here.)

Strategies For A Successful Career In Touring — Wednesday, August 5 beginning at 3 pm U.S. Pacific time. This webinar will feature a panel comprised of accomplished professionals that include Michelle Sabolchick Pettinato, Karrie Keyes, Claudia Englehart, Becky Pell, Tana Douglas, Christina Moon, Marguerite Nguyen, and Melissa Britton. The Leslie Ann Jones Scholarship in Honor of Ethel Gabriel, made possible by a generous donation by noted audio professional Leslie Ann Jones, is a $250 scholarship to be used for education in the music industry. Any member of SoundGirls that is attending or plans to attend educational programs relating to the music industry is eligible. There is no age requirement and includes college programs, trade schools, seminars, and workshops. Go here for more information and to apply.

The Ethel Gabriel Scholarship recognizes Ethel’s contributions to the music industry and for paving the way for future generations of women working in music production. SoundGirls is awarding two $500 scholarships to members pursuing a career in the recording arts that can be used for educational training and university programs.
