Sound Particles Releases Free Air | Music Edition Plugin

Available for free download, new plugin is designed to simulate the distance and depth of musical elements quickly and realistically in mixes.

Sound Particles announced the availability of a new, free plugin — Air | Music Edition — designed to simulate the distance and depth of musical elements quickly and realistically in mixes.

Nuno Fonseca, founder and CEO of Sound Particles, says, “We wanted to thank our fans for their support with the free version of Air for the music production industry. With a new design and just one button, now it’s easier to achieve natural performance results in the studio.”

The plugin offers an updated and redesigned user interface, along with a new Distance Attenuation function designed to allow users to control the amount of additional attenuation with different distances by controlling the variation of the audio gain.

Further, Air is designed to be more accurate than a low-pass filter, using carefully measured frequency response values of air dampening. Users can also see the actual frequency response that is being applied to the music. In addition, there’s full integration with Imperial and Metric measurement units.

Air | Music Edition is available now for free download here. free starting November 9th at
