Sony Electronics has announced the expansion of its DWX series of professional wireless systems with the introduction of the DWT-P30, a new digital plug-on transmitter that complements the company’s slot-in receiver and bodypack transmitters to create a system that can be used with Sony cameras in addition to UniSlot standard devices.
The new DWT-P30 offers 375 kHz spacing, high-density simultaneous multi-channel operation and wideband tuning at a maximum of 148 MHz, and it allows tuning to frequencies as mandated by the U.S. FCC spectrum guidelines of UHF-TV channels 14-36 and 38.
Sound quality is enhanced with with CODEC MODE4, and the transmitter has stated low delay time. RF output power is selectable — 2 mW, 10 mW and 25 mW. Battery life is stated as approximately six hours, and remote control of transmitter settings is provided by the Cross Remote function.
The DWT-P30 is planned to be available at the end of 2022.
