Solotech Invests In Company’s Third Meyer Sound LEO System

Montreal-based Solotech recently purchased its third Meyer Sound LEO linear large-scale sound reinforcement system, joining the company’s rental inventory of more than 2,000 Meyer Sound loudspeakers.

According to Richard Lachance, senior vice president of touring, Solotech’s continuing investment in LEO allows it to satisfy the increasing demand for LEO’s power and sonic performance on both high-profile tours and large outdoor festivals.

“Besides LEO’s simple rigging designs that speed up system setup and teardown, what has impressed me most is LEO’s sonic precision and extraordinary throw, which together puts LEO in the top tier for today’s audio professionals worldwide,” says Lachance.

Solotech was the first rental company to invest a LEO system, which has been touring with the open-ended “Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour” for nearly three years. Other productions that have been supported by Solotech using LEO include tours by Grammy-winning fun., as well as Michael Bublé, the Montréal International Jazz Festival, and the back-to-back Montréal festivals Osheaga and Heavy MTL, among others.

A LEO system is comprised of LEO-M line array loudspeakers, 1100-LFC low-frequency control elements, and a Galileo Callisto loudspeaker management system featuring Galileo Callisto array processors.
