SoloAmp Acoustic Amplification Package A Highlight Of Fishman Display At Winter NAMM ‘09

Since shipping in September, the Fishman SoloAmp has met with a very positive response from leading dealers and is currently being tested in the field by working singer/guitarists such as Jerry Douglas, Fiona Boyes and Pat DiNizio of The Smithereens, and it will be a highlight of the company’s presence at the upcoming Winter NAMM show at Booth 4258.

SoloAmp’s compact line-source speaker design delivers wide horizontal dispersion and deep sound penetration, and it is driven by a digital (Class-D) power amp that can produce 220 watts matched with ultra-high excursion drivers. Weight is less than 25 pounds without the stand, with easy setup from a portable package that can be carried with one hand.

SoloAmp also includes two mic/instrument input channels with three-band EQ, phantom power and high-quality preamps that accept a wide range of input sources, from acoustic instruments to microphones and line level sources. Each channel also offers independent reverb level, effect loop, plus phase and notch filters to fight feedback.

Four digital reverb effects are also included – monitor input/output, auxiliary stereo input with level control, balanced XLR DI outputs for both channels, plus main mix. There is also a set-break mute button and universal voltage for worldwide operation.

SoloAmp ships with a padded carry bag fitted with wheels and a rugged tripod stand. MSRP is $1539.95; MAP is $999.95.
