Signal To Noise, Episode 213: Mike Dias, The In-Ear Monitor International Trade Organization (IEMITO)

The influence and role that musicians, techs/engineers, manufacturers and consumers have played in where we are today with in-ear monitors, as well as the impact of immersive mixing and more.

Mike Dias, the executive director of the In-Ear Monitor International Trade Organization (IEMITO), joins the show in Episode 213 and talks about the history of in-ear monitors. He sets the table for the plotline of a documentary he’s working on about IEMs, which will weave together the storylines of the influence and impact that musicians, techs/engineers, manufacturers and consumers have played in where we are today. He and the hosts also discuss the new frontier of immersive mixing and the impact it may have along with some professional networking advice and more. (By the way, Mike is also the VP of sales for Earthworks.) This episode is sponsored by Allen & HeathRCF, and Rational Acoustics.
