Shure announces a new version of its ShurePlus MOTIV Mobile Recording App—designed for use with the Company’s MOTIV Digital Condenser Microphones—is now available.
Version 1.1 of the Company’s newest iOS app offers a host of new features, including five-band EQ and gain adjustment controls for the MV51 Digital Large-Diaphragm Condenser Microphone, the MV5 Digital Condenser Microphone, and MVi Digital Audio Interface.
For an optimized experience, Shure has added AirPlay compatibility to the list of user-friendly features ShurePlus MOTIV offers. Users now have Bluetooth support for instant playback over a speaker system.
Additionally, transport controls in the control center simplify the process of pausing, playing, fast-forwarding, and rewinding a recording.
For low-light environments where a bright screen might become a distraction (such as a club or other live event venue), Shure has added a dark mode setting.
“The latest updates to the ShurePlus MOTIV app ensure that we are offering a package that’s simple and intuitive to use, while also delivering high-quality recording capabilities,” said Chad Reid, category director for software at Shure.
“We understand that customization is key to achieving high-quality sound, and with features that provide an upgraded degree of control over Shure MOTIV microphones, it’s even easier to optimize settings based on the sound source and environment. This version allows for seamless integration with some of the features customers are already used to, such as wireless playback, AirPlay compatibility, and transport controls that are easy to access from any screen.”
The ShurePlus MOTIV App debuted earlier this year, alongside the Company’s MOTIV Digital Condenser Microphone Line. Designed for use with all MOTIV products, the free MOTIV iOS app is loaded with smart, intuitive features for high-quality digital recording and sharing through text, email, iTunes, AirDrop, and Dropbox. The app offers 24-bit/48 WAV recording for all MOTIV microphones and enables users to make real-time adjustments to selectable DSP preset modes for gain, equalization, and compression. The app is also a convenient and reliable tool on its own for enhanced recording.
Version 1.1 of ShurePlus MOTIV is available for download in the Apple App Store.
