Shure IntelliMix Room Software Now Certified For Microsoft Teams With Crestron Flex System

Users can now deploy end-to-end certified Teams systems without the need for a separate DSP device.

Shure has announced that IntelliMix Room, its software-based digital signal processing (DSP) for AV conferencing, has attained official certification for Microsoft Teams when installed on the Crestron UC-C100-T Flex video conference system integrator kit.

As a result, users can deploy end-to-end certified Teams systems without the need for a separate DSP device, which is key because DSP is valuable in ensuring that meeting room audio sounds intelligible and natural for all participants.

Shure’s collaboration with Crestron helped enable IntelliMix Room software to achieve what the company states is an industry-first certification. Crestron has been a Microsoft partner for more than 15 years, with the Crestron Flex series designed to provide users with the essential components needed to build a customized video conferencing space.

“Crestron is the leader in enabling customizable conference rooms with the award-winning Flex-series solutions. Now, with the integration of Shure’s IntelliMix Room software DSP, the entire experience is further enhanced by providing an end-to-end Microsoft Teams Certified solution that significantly simplifies the deployment,” says Andrew Ludke, Director of Product Management at Crestron. “With Crestron Flex being a true ‘technology platform,’ integrating Shure’s Microflex Advance Array Microphones and IntelliMix Room DSP with custom Crestron Flex solutions yields stunning audio quality in a truly customizable configuration,” he continued.

IntelliMix Room algorithms are specifically designed to optimize performance of the company’s range of conferencing microphones. It’s patent-pending technology provides acoustic echo cancellation (AEC), noise reduction, and automatic mixing technology to supply more consistent room audio and a simplified approach to managing multiple rooms.

No custom programming is needed, and a variety of preset system configurations and an “Optimize” function within the free Designer application are designed to make deploying Teams-Certified spaces more efficient.

“IntelliMix Room is designed with the end user in mind to help improve connectivity, audio clarity, and quality with consistent results. Shure is constantly taking a forward-thinking approach to simplifying audio, from microphones to DSP to speakers; and doing it without compromise,” states Paul Gunia, Director of Technology Partnerships at Shure. “We are excited to bring our highly desired IntelliMix Room product to market with the official backing of two industry titans in Microsoft and Crestron.”
