Session Highlights Released For Upcoming 2022 New World Rigging Symposium

Program includes presentations by top structural engineers covering key topics, a walk-through of a complex flying system for Wembley Stadium, the challenges of rigging abroad, and more.

Session highlights have been announced for the upcoming 2022 New World Rigging Symposium that’s slated to take place online April 5-7 (2022), including:

— Two sessions by some of the industry’s top structural engineers, including Bill Gorlin, Dan Louis, Miriam Paschetto, and Jeff Reder covering subjects such as ballast, wind speeds, site safety, codes, AHJs and why things don’t always stay the same.

— Top touring rigger and automation specialist Paul Sapsis will walk attendees through a complicated custom flying system designed for a concert and DVD shoot at the Wembley Stadium in London, from concept to implementation, install to risk assessment and rescue.

— Seasoned touring pros Jim Digby, Chad Kohler, and Bill Rengstl will discuss the tools and techniques used when rigging abroad, addressing challenges of language barriers, differences in best practices, local rules and regulations and more.

The symposium will carry nine ETCP education renewal credits for re-certification and the cost is $99. Register here.
