Sensaphonics Supports Hearing Health Wellness For Ultra Music Festival

Sensaphonics has announced a partnership with audiologists from University of Miami UHealth to promote healthy listening at this year’s Ultra Music Festival.

The festival will entertain over 100,000 electronic music fans in downtown Miami’s Bayfront Park, March 18-20, 2016.

Attending will be Sensaphonics president, Dr. Michael Santucci, who will work with Gold Circle audiologists Dana Libman and Tricia Scaglione of UHealth to educate and raise awareness of the importance of hearing health wellness to performers and fans alike. Sensaphonics has also donated over 1,000 pairs of high quality, universal-fit earplugs as part of its festival outreach. They also manufacture high-fidelity, custom fit Musicians Earplugs, with information available at the festival.

“Hearing injury is a function of both volume levels and exposure time. A long electronic music show is a lot of fun, but it can also lead to auditory injuries,” notes Dr. Santucci. “We want to send the message that, with smart listening strategies and high quality hearing protection, music fans can maintain their hearing wellness while still enjoying a high-impact, full range festival experience. And more importantly, they can keep enjoying the music they love long term.”

UHealth and Sensaphonics will occupy a tent in the festival village, where attendees will be able to receive universal-fit earplugs (while supplies last) and discuss option for hearing wellness with audiologists who specialize in preventing music-induced hearing disorders.
